I'm Ibrahim Boona, a passionate software developer from Saudi Arabia. I built Codeon as a solo project to solve a real problem I experienced firsthand — the steep learning curve and friction of using Claude Code in the terminal CLI. What started as a simple wrapper to make AI-assisted coding more accessible evolved into a full-featured, professional-grade code editor with innovative features you won't find anywhere else.
The Story
The Problem
Claude Code is incredibly powerful, but using it through a terminal CLI can be intimidating and cumbersome — especially for developers who prefer visual interfaces or are new to AI-assisted coding. I saw talented developers struggle with the learning curve and miss out on the productivity gains.
The Solution
I built Codeon to bridge that gap — a native desktop application that wraps Claude's Agent SDK in a beautiful, intuitive interface. No more command-line gymnastics. Just open a project, chat with AI, and watch it understand and transform your codebase.
Beyond the Basics
What started as a simple wrapper grew into something much more ambitious. I didn't stop at the basics — I kept pushing boundaries with innovative features like the Agent Execution Timeline (AET), Learning Mode, MCP integrations, custom Agents & Skills, and Git checkpoints that make AI-assisted coding safer and more transparent than ever.
Today
Codeon is now a full-featured AI code editor that rivals commercial alternatives, but with a transparent, one-time pricing model. Every feature you see was designed, developed, and refined by one developer — me — with a relentless focus on making AI coding accessible, powerful, and delightful.
